Flexible Spending Accounts

Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) allow you to reimburse yourself for eligible health care and dependent care expenses with tax-free dollars you contribute to the accounts.
To get the most from your coverage, be sure you know:
How much you can save in taxes — use the tax benefit calculator at www.taxsaverplan.com to find out
Which Health Care FSA you are allowed to participate in — regular or limited-pupose — and what expenses are eligible for reimbursement
The plan year — you have from January 1 through March 15 of the following calendar year to use the funds in your account and through April 30 to submit your expenses for reimbursement
An accurate estimation of your health care and dependent care expenses — tax laws require you forfeit any funds remaining in your accounts at the end of the plan year
